Our Honey Harvesting & Packaging Practices

We do not heat treat (or pasteurize) our honey. Heating honey past 105 degrees begins to change the consistency of honey and begins damaging the highly beneficial microorganisms, yeasts and enzymes that are nutritive and responsible for activating vitamins and minerals in the body. Most honey you'll being sold at retail labeled as Raw and Organic is, in fact, heat treated or pasteurized; some as high as 190 degrees F. Many commercial honey packagers use high heat in addition to pressure filtration which strips out most of the beneficial components in honey. You can tell the honey has been pressure-filtered if it appears clear and transparent similar to maple syrup.  We do not do use pressurized micro-filtration since it removes the components that give us so many health benefits from local honey. Our honey is loaded with all the naturally occurring nutrients thus yielding a more translucent appearance; the result of our old school cold-harvesting gravity-straining techniques.

Our Skincare Products

Our skincare recipes have been formulated using only nature's pure essential oils and butters combined with the pure beeswax we collect from our honey harvests. We were convinced to start making our own skincare products after realizing that the commercially produced high-quality skincare products we had been using leave a lot to be desired if you desire nature's best stuff to use for healthy skin.
